How working with us helps Investec support their environmental footprint mission.
On #WorldEnvironmentDay we’re celebrating our partnership with Investec. Over the past 11 years, Investec have been working with us and our students and been committed to the importance that having diverse and different thinkers are to their mission.
“At Investec, we’ve been working hard to reduce our operational environmental footprint since 2006. Air quality is one of the areas we focus on. We were the first corporate in the UK to run an internal air quality campaign in 2012, and have explored this theme twice again. Currently, we’re working with the environmental charity Hubbub to build an external coalition of businesses willing to invest in a series of practical interventions under a project called #AirWeShare.
Collaboration is important to us. Earlier this year we invited students and entrepreneurs from our long-term community partners, Arrival Education and the Bromley By Bow Centre respectively, to join us at our Hackathon to ideate and collaborate on innovative solutions to tackle the environmental issues of air quality, water usage and consumerism. These issues lie at the heart of Investec’s sustainability ethos. It was fantastic to see students, entrepreneurs and colleagues working together on these important and urgent topics.
These solutions are being considered by Investec’s environment champions for future campaigns.”
